Anonymous Group Hacker Spams Pro ISIS Twitter Accounts With Gay Friendly Content, Porn Links

A hacker by the name of WauchulaGhost has reportedly hacked more than a dozen of Twitter accounts belonging to the Islamic State militant group (ISIS) and replaced them with gay friendly messages and pornography links.

The hacker changed the profile and background pictures of jihadis or black flags of the Islamic State to rainbow-inspired images. He also posted tweets of love and support such as "I'm gay and I'm proud", "To The Families & Victims of #Orlando We Will Not Forget" for those who were killed in the Orlando massacre. The mass shootout at an Orlando gay nightclub on June 12 left 49 dead. The pro-ISIS accounts that were hacked were all renamed "Jacked by a Ghost".

"I did it for the lost lives in Orlando," the hacker told Newsweek. "Daesh [Islamic State, IS, formerly ISIS/ISIL] have been spreading and praising the attack, so I thought I would defend those that were lost. The taking of innocent lives will not be tolerated." Over the past month, Anonymous hacker @WauchulaGhost claims to have hacked over 250 Twitter accounts associated with ISIS members and replaced the content with pornography-related images and gay pride messages. Twitter has already removed a number of such accounts as part of its on-going mission to remove propaganda accounts.

The hacker, who did not reveal his actual identity or location, said the members of the hacking collective group aren't using graphic porn and their purpose is not to offend Muslims.

In fact, their actions are directed at Jihadist extremists. He added that a number of Anonymous members are Muslim and that they respect all religions that do not take innocent lives.

The hacktivist told The Washington Post that they were forced to take a stand because of inaction on the part of the government as well as concerned authorities to target IS supporters.
