The much anticipated release of Apple's first pair of wireless headphones, the Apple AirPods, has been put on hold as the company decides that it needs more time.

The release of the Apple AirPods has been delayed as the product is not ready yet. Apple is taking measures to tweak and iron out rough edges to prepare the new headphones for the market. This is in spite of what the company claims as an incredible initial reception for the EarPods. Devoted Apple users have to wait to get their hands on the Apple AirPods.

Apple told TechCrunch that "We don't believe in shipping a product before it's ready, and we need a little more time before AirPods are ready for our customers."

However, the California based has not given any definite time of release and any information on what they are improving regarding the new AirPods. Experts are only guessing the main reason why Apple delayed the unveiling of their newest product and when the public can get their own pair of the Apple AirPods.

Apple introduced the new AirPods back in September and announced to release it in the market in late October. The new headphones features the W1 chip that can facilitate pairing with different Apple devices. This allows the users to choose and switch between the iPhone, iPad and or the Mac.

Moreover, the W1 chip uses Class 1 Bluetooth which have a greater range of signal and usability. The new Apple AirPods also boast beam-forming microphones, and accelerometers among other cutting edge features. The delayed release is not an isolated case for the tech giant, Apple previously delayed the release of the watchOS 2 because of a bug that they uncovered.
