Soon, Apple Watch will have a competitor in the market as HTC Smartwatch will be launched.

While the final date of its official launch is still on the works, tech-savvy consumers consider HTC Watch as one alternative to Apple Watch, which is also set to launch a new version soon.

The actual features of HTC Smartwatch are still unknown as of this writing, but there have been leaks revealed late last year by Phandroid. It said the HTC product will be thin, but loaded with features. The initial alleged leaked information will have a circular display that has 360 x 360 p resolution. It added that this model will be known as energy efficient and well-designed.

In a separate report published in CNET a couple of years ago, HTC CEO Cher Wang revealed that the supposed HTC watch would be able to connect through Bluetooth and would brag about its battery efficiency feature. The CEO was quoted saying that the HTC smartwatch will be the best looking in the market. Full details are still not available, however, given the delay in the launch of the wearable watch from HTC.

Also vying for the best smartwatch tag, meanwhile, is Apple Watch 2. This is scheduled to be released sometime in September, alongside the new iPhone 7. The updated Apple Watch will highlight features that health buffs would enjoy.

According to Apple CEO Tim Cook, "Concentrating more on fitness capabilities for the Apple Watch would hold us back from innovating too much, the cycles are too long. But you can begin to envision other things that might be adjacent to it-maybe an app, maybe something else."

Some of the features are a heart rate sensor that will come with a blood glucose sensor. It will also come with waterproof protection. These features and more will have a price tag of $349 or more, which will be confirmed during the launch. It will come in various colors including gold/red, pink, royal blue, and scuba blue/black.
