McLaren F1, the world's best supercar could be yours. The McLaren Automotive, the British supercar manufacturer, announced the release of one of the last six 1998 McLaren F1 cars for sale. It is currently on the market.

F1 was built in 1998 and never sold to a private owner before. It was kept in the McLaren collection and upheld by the McLaren Special Operations (MSO) team. Though it is almost 25 years old, the 1998 F1 is a brand new supercar.

The rare supercar is the first supercar to be constructed mainly of carbon fiber. This makes it sturdy and lightweight body. Its cockpit is also unique as the driver is situated at the center with two passengers on either side.

McLaren F1 is empowered by 627 horsepower BMW-source v12 engine and has a gold-wrapped engine bay. It can go at about 242.8 miles per hour (mph). This is the top speed record among production road cars until it was broken by a souped-up Bugatti Veyron Super Sport in 2010, which can speed up to 268 mph.

There is no official cost of the McLaren supercar yet. On the other hand, it would probably sell much higher price than those two McLaren F1 supercars that were sold in 2015 in Monterey for $13.75 million and by actor Rowan Atkins for $12.24 million, according to Mashable.
