On October 27, 2016, Apple revealed the latest MacBook Pro to the audience. The next gen Apple laptop comes with a few new commendable features like the Touch Bar. New features did entice fanatics worldwide, but there are many who might feel disappointed to find out that an iPhone 7 or iPhone 7 Plus cannot be connected to the latest MacBook Pro.

Apple revealed the iPhone 7 and 7 Plus to the public in September. And, it takes its place in the list of the best phonesof 2016. But, the phones lack a feature which is an audio 3.5mm jack. This forces the customers to purchase an adaptor if they want to connect a third-party headphone to these latest phones.

2016 MacBook Pro Features Which Will Disappoint Users-

After a long wait for the reveal of the MacBook Pro 2016, Apple showed the latest technology and features integrated in the new devices. The 2016 MacBook Pro features four USB ports that are all composed of USB Type-C or Thunderbolt 3 ports. Notably, the iPhone 7 and iPhone 7 Plus come with USB Type A cable which is not supported in the latest MacBook Pros.

It is true that Apple has lots of supporters and customers, but with the lack of connectivity in the latest devices, it is quiet disappointing.

"It's clear Apple is a mess internally. No cohesion and no solid vision," a redditor said. "It's frustrating and makes me wonder if I made a mistake getting an iPhone 7 instead of looking into android. I love iOS But I also like being able to have unified experiences."

For iPhone 7 and 7 Plus owners, there are two choices available now. If they are looking to connect the new devices to the 2016 MacBook Pros, then they will have to buy a USB to USB Type C adaptor. This will roughly cost $19. The second option is a lightning cable to USB Type C cable which is available for $25. Unluckily, none of the latest devices come with these dynamic cables to support connectivity. So, users will have to spend a little extra to buy the relevant cable or adaptor.

We know that people nowadays use cloud storage, but there are many who still have a need to connect their phones to MacBooks or other laptops for various tasks such transferring files, music, or charging phone. Apple might upset this set of fans who were eagerly waiting for the MacBook Pros 2016 to come out only to find that the Apple's latest devices cannot be connected with one another without an extra accessory.

Apple's approach towards adding only Thunderbolt 3 and USB Type C ports to the 2016 MacBook Pros also hints their shifting towards a plan where the future iPhones will be carrying USB Type C support.
