While, Advanced Micro Devices (AMD) hasn't revealed anything about the release date, specs or pricing details of its upcoming graphics card yet, dubbed Radeon RX 490, new reports suggest the AMD GPU graphic card will feature the next generation Vega 10 architecture. Earlier there were rumors of the RX 490 graphics card getting a Polaris 10 or Polaris 11 architecture.

According to iSportstimes, Chris Hook, AMD Radeon Sr. Marketing Director, posted a picture on his official Twitter account last month which showed an undisclosed location of a totally devastated warehouse. Hook wrote that the warehouse in the picture will be the Vega launch venue. However, the same tweet was deleted later on.

As far as AMD Radeon RX 490 specs and features are concerned, Video Cardz reported that the upcoming graphics card will feature a computing power of 9,830 GFLOPS with a base clock of 1200 MHz. The same report claims that the graphics card will feature a 16384 MB memory size, a PCI-Express 3.0 x16 interface, a memory bandwidth of 716.8 GB/s along with a thermal power of 200 W. Furthermore, the Radeon RX 490 is rumored to support 4K and VR gaming. In fact, the AMD's new graphics card is expected to give a tough fight to its competitor NVidia's GPU GTX 1080.

Talking about the price, the GPU maker is expected to keep the price of the Radeon RX 490 equal to or even lower than NVidia's GTX 1080, which sells for $699.99. Rumors are that AMD is planning to release Radeon RX 490 by the end of the year probably in November 2016. However, there are also reports which claim that the use of Vega 10 architecture might delay Radeon RX 490 release date to sometime next year. Readers are advised to take the information with a big grain of salt as nothing yet has been announced by the makers.
