Good news for Sony Experia X Performance users, Sony is now ready to beta test their first build for their flagship smartphone. The company is sending out emails to those who have been selected to enter the Beta program.

Sony Experia X Performance users who signed up for the beta testing of Android 7.0 Nougat on their smartphones can now be a part of the initial testing. Those who were picked will be sent updates for confirmation. In the sent email, the company stated that the beta update will be released over-the-air. The update will be sent and will be received by selected Sony Experia X Performance units within the next 48 hours.

The company also said that the other information regarding the update will be released via email shortly after receiving the beta testing. This new update came in after Sony revived their Beta program after being shelved some time before. Selected Sony Xperia X Performance owners in different parts of Europe can avail the program.

Sony will give the selected users an Android 7.0 Nougat update in their smartphone. Users in Sweden, Norway, Finland, Denmark, Lithuania, Estonia, Latvia, Iceland, Italy, Spain, Portugal, or the Netherlands are eligible for the program. Previously, Sony has released different beta updates for new Android versions before unveiling the final version. The company is looking to do the same for the new Android 7.0 Nougat with this first build release.

Like any other beta releases using the new Android 7.0 Nougat update comes in with extra precaution with its bug fixes and other development. If it's possible, do not use your main device in testing out the new update as it could exhibit some estrange behaviour. On a side note, the Japanese company also stated that the Sony Xperia X Performance's issue with its accelerometer will be fixed. This fix will come in with the latest software update to be released soon.
