According to Fox News, getting seven to eight hours of sleep every night is among the important factors that can contribute to losing weight. It is important to take note that lack of sleep can put a person at risk of all types of illnesses particularly diabetes, heart disease, and depression. Sleep deprivation likewise contribute to weight gain.

Opting for weight training is also among the recommended tiny lifestyle changes that can lead to major weight loss. Cardiovascular exercise burns calories and is good for the health, but weight training wins in terms of helping in shedding some pounds. The latter increases the body's fat-free mass; thus, increasing metabolism.

Watching food intake obviously counts as well. Experts recommend getting enough calories, lean protein, and fiber. Each has an important role to play in weight loss.
