Even as Apple continues to keep avid fans waiting for iPhone 7, it is rumored that iPhone 8 is already being developed under a shroud of secrecy in Israel.

A local employee of Apple in Israel says that the required hardware for iPhone8 is under development and that the new model is slated to be released in the coming year at a location in Israel. Rumors also have it that the iPhone 8 will be significantly different in terms of design with a ceramic body or an edge to edge display and the camera is also expected to be an improved one, as reported in Businessinsider.

Readers will also remember that 2017 is Apple's 10th birthday. According to the current naming tradition, the next edition should be iPhone S. But, who would want all the beans to spill before the D-day. Therefore as far as iPhone is concerned, Apple is keeping many things under wraps as yet.

Some people also feel that not enough has been done with regard to iPhone 7 which is still in its infancy and users are only beginning to get a feel of it.  Many users also feel that the iPhone 7 does not add much value over its predecessor iPhone 6. Apple, however, stated that iPhone 7 has enhanced power and a significantly improved camera. A button to sense fingerprint and respond with a vibration to help the user complete functions such as payment via Apple pay has also been added to the iPhone 7.

In the past, Apple used to come out with major upgrades for their iPhones every alternate year. Going by that pattern, the next update should have been scheduled for 2016. The iPhone 7, however, does not meet the kind of user expectations from a regular Apple iPhone upgrade.

But, if you are an avid iPhone 8 fan, you may have reasons to celebrate. You can look forward to a substantial update in the coming year with a refreshing design, a fingerprint sensor, and new screen technology in iPhone 8.
