Rumors about the tablet market not doing very well have been circulating in the tech world for some time. It seems like tech companies have been trying to mash-up the laptop and tablet. But here's something people are not expecting, Google in collaboration with Huawei is cooking up an Android tablet that will put a mark on the tablet market very soon.

As per reports by Phone Arena, Evan Blass tweeted that Google and Huawei are currently working on a 7-inch tablet that may be released by the end of the year. He also said that the tablet would sport a 4GB RAM but gave no other details about the tablet. One very important detail missing in the detail was the name of the upcoming device.

With Google involved in the project, it would be correct to assume that it may be a new Nexus, but there are also rumors claiming that the new Google phones for the year will be named Pixel rather than Nexus. What makes it more interesting is that Huawei also register a trademark on the name Huawei 7P earlier this year, which many think could be related to the rumors.

According to The Verge, Google's Android tablets have been experiencing rough patches for a couple of years. In 2014, Nexus 9 did not age well at all, and the Pixel C was a beautiful device which was brought down by bad software at launch (at least Android N has made it a more viable device). So many are expecting the comeback of Android tablets because aside form wild discoveries like the Yoga Book, things in the tech world has been nothing but boring.

If the reports will be based on Blass' track record on smartphone tips, then it's a done deal. He has correctly predicted details of phones such as the Samsung Galaxy Note 7 and last year's Nexus 6P, which was also made by Huawei, Cnet reported.

Google is expected to hold an event on October 4th, where will apparently announce two phones, a Daydream VR headset, a new 4k-enable Chromecast dongle, and now, well a new Google tablet.
