If you're more of a salty person but still like some sweet thrown into the mix, now you can have it all-with wavy chocolate Lays chips. Thanks to the potato chip company, they're rolling out this chocolate-covered chip next week, when the product will hit stores mainstream just about everywhere in the United States.

This latest creation known as Lay's Wavy Potato Chips Dipped in Milk Chocolate will be sold in a five-ounce bag for $3.49. However, for those that could potentially become addicted to the new taste, these chips are available for a limited time only. According to the organization's website, the food item will only be seasonal and only available from Halloween through New Year's. Furthermore, this product will also only be sold at Target stores. Yet the vice president of marketing at Frito-Lay, Ram Krishnan, has stated that if the product becomes a success, it will be available at other major sellers and could also become available more permanently.

"When you try something drastically different, you have to walk before you can run," Krishnan explained. "We wanted to test our way through this before we go big."

"Flavors are getting more sophisticated and complex," Tom Vierhile, the innovation insights director at DataMonitor, said according to the Detroit Free Press. DataMonitor is a consumer products research firm. "We are seeing more products that may pair traditional flavor opposites."

This new chip may not be the healthiest item coming to the market. In other words, it's still important to get your fruits and veggies before picking up a bag of these tasty goodies. But you have to wonder... will the market be ready for such a treat?

"When you try something drastically different, you have to walk before you can run," Krishnan said, via USA Today. "We wanted to test our way through this before we go big."
