A Woman Plans to Escape Prison Faking Complications in Pregnancy

Ray Lynn Dennis-Sessions, a Fowlerville woman, arrested for operating a methamphetamine lab tried escaping the Livingston County Jail by faking complications in her pregnancy.

She was faking pregnancy complications by pretending to bleed by using a flavoured red-coloured drink called Kool-Aid and also acted to be distressed, Sheriff Bob Bezotte from the prison claimed. The officers could make out about Dennis-Sessions' plan of fleeing from the prison.

"I was running a meth lab. I was the only one doing that; no one else knew that," Dennis-Sessions confessed in a Livingston Daily report.

Dennis-Sessions is four-months pregnant, she is addicted to meth from the tender age of 16, and this addiction is leading to complications in her pregnancy and causing high risk. She has been taken to the hospital thrice so far. Her attorney, David Prine, referred to her condition as "physically and emotionally horrible".

Prine requested to reduce her $200,000 bond because of her condition. But Assistant Prosecutor Scott Ehlfeldt countered Prine. He stated that Dennis-Sessions is being investigated as this might be plotted by her to escape the prison. He also said that she is a threat to her baby and herself.

"She's already planning to escape from jail. I can't imagine what she would do if she's at a treatment facility," Ehlfeldt told the judge.

Dennis-Sessions requested the judge, Circuit Judge Michael P. Hatty, to postpone the sentencing date, her plea was accepted by him.

Dennis-Sessions was involved in felonies in her past too, she tried running away from a bond while she was in Livingston County in 2000 and she broke into somebody's vehicle. She was also convicted for an assault in Clare County, Michigan, in 2008.

"Don't be making any trouble for the jail and don't be faking anything," Hatty said.

Methamphetamine is a class of psychoactive drugs with various side-effects like hyperactivity, increased energy, anorexia, heart attack and so on.
