In today's world, many patients form strong bonds with their doctor, especially one who has treated them for a long time or worked with them to diagnose and treat severe, life-threatening conditions like cancer, as was the casefor Michigan Gynecologist, Oncologist and Surgeon Dr. Vinay Malviya. 

Moreover, it's never pleasant to learn that one's doctor is moving away from our area; or retiring, as Dr. Vinay Malviya did last year after practicing medicine for more than 40 years through his private practice and at several hospitals in the Greater Metro Detroit area.After that initial shock wore off for many patients, they took the time to express thanks to Dr. Malviya in many heartfelt reminiscences.

"Dear Dr. Malviya: Today will be my last appointment with you. I was so sorry to hear you are retiring, but God knows you are entitled to some sleep and rest. I had hoped you would be my doctor till the day I died (hopefully of old age). I want to sincerely thank you for being such an excellent doctor. No one will be able to replace you! Congratulations on your retirement. I hope everything is well with you as I have not seen you in the past few years. I just wanted to say "Thank You" for taking great care of my wife. You were by far the "Best" Doctor that my wife ever had. You were very thorough with the way you treated your patients. If all Doctors were this caring, I think we would have a better health system instead of one run by insurance companies. You told us she would have about five years, but she survived seven years after dealing with two different cancers. It was not cancer that took her life. It was a stroke caused by her A-Fib condition. Again "Thank You" for the great care you gave my wife."
