The new Kickass Torrents website has been launched a few days before as Katcr.Co. While the site looks similar to the original one, the members have added a number of changes to its functionality. The site is similar in appearance to the original site, however, the return of Kickass Torrents back online is a modified and clean user database. Most of the members of the original crew are back on board. Artem Vaulin however, has not actively participated in the return of the torrent website to prevent any further lawsuits being filed against him.

According to recent reports, the major uploaders from the original site are also back and have been working continuously even before the torrent engines were back online. Although most of them were legitimate and were taken down, later on, there were also a few malicious sites who took advantage of the situation. These sites asked for user's details as a part of their registration and stole personal credentials of the users.
