Humanity is certainly not dead. In a recent incident, employees of a Best Buy store in New York bought a brand new Wii U for a teenager.

The Best Buy store was located in Valley Stream, NY. The teen used to come in the store everyday and played Super Smash Bros on the console on display in the store. A video was posted recently on YouTube by the manager of the store (by the name of Rahiem Storr). The video showed an employee of the Best Buy store speaking to the young teen and presenting him the unexpected gift of kindness. IB Times captured the content of the video in a written form.

"On behalf of all of us here at Best Buy, we got you a Wii U," the employee told the boy who gave him the box, warranty and receipt. "This is something we did for you. Everyone here that you see, we all got together and chipped in so you could have it."

As any person would in the situation, the young boy seemed to question the magnanimous gesture. However, he was quickly reassured by the employee presenting the gift that it was really not a gag. "No, for real, this is for you," the employee said. "I'm being serious. Consider it an early Christmas present."

Another fact that was not shown on the video was that the employees also gave the ecstatic teen a ride home so that he did not have to walk all the way with a new console. The YouTube video description captures the essence of this act. "The employees in this store saw an opportunity to make a child smile and did just that," Storr wrote in the YouTube video's description. "They chipped in and purchased a Wii U for him with their own money."

This video, like any other media uploaded on the internet, got its fair share of applaud as well as trolls. In answer to these trolling comments which were quite hateful in nature, Storr posted another video which captured the true intentions of this kind gesture.

What is your response to this act of the Best Buy employees? They certainly made a teen's Christmas merry!
