Lefties are sometimes tagged as unusual or probably special from the common group of people. Since most of our population are comprised of right-handed people and just a small percentage are being taken by the left-handed people, we find lefties somehow remarkable and different from the usual way.

Yes, lefties have unique cognitive and psychological profiles that will amuse others based on some research and studies. According to The Huffington Post, handedness does come with certain physiological and neurological differences.

They may be quick thinkers. Left-handed people can use both sides of their brain more easily and efficiently. They tend to have quick operations or logical relation activities between the left and right hemispheres of the brain. This means that processing of information is a lot faster in them. Research also discovered that left-handed people have a cognitive advantage that could benefit them in things like video games and sports.

They may be left-favoring in decision-making processes. The hand that one usually uses may have an unexpected effect on the way a person forms opinions and thoughts. In the study in 2009 by Stanford University, participants viewed two columns of illustrations and were asked to judge which seemed more happy, honest, intelligent and attractive. Left-handers implicitly chose illustrations in the left column, and righties tended to choose images on the right side. It shows that a person's judgement and perspective are based on the sides they usually use and this is somehow people are becoming biased.

Lefties have the upper hand in some sports. Major League baseball players are 25 percent lefties. Why? Because they have faster reaction as their brain processes quicker. Right-handed people may have poor grip on their left hand. It is one of the evidence that right-handed people cannot use their left hand efficiently because the processing between left and right part of the brain is not that faster compared to the lefties.

Their brains may organize emotion differently. The dominant hand may officially decide how emotions are arranged in one's brain. A 2012 study published in the journal PLOS ONE found that in lefties, motivation was connected with greater activity in the right hemisphere of the brain, while the opposite was true for right handers.

Lefties may be more creative thinkers. Since processes of information are faster between their left and right hemispheres of their brains, tendencies are, lefties could think a whole lot of ideas -- such mindset that is non-conformity and unique. They have higher rates of showing remarkable abilities leading than others. Since they have creative minds, they can create rather than imitate. They can start something brilliant and influence their environment.
