The 2017 Porsche 911 GT3 was spied earlier, revealing a facelift model. This time it has been snapped again, undergoing some high-speed tests at the Nurburgring racetrack. Although the facelifted model looks similar to its predecessor, Porsche Fanatics will easily notice the repositioned air outlet at the rear as well as the modified front and rear bumpers.

2017 Porsche 911 GT3: Specs

One of the biggest changes in the 2017 Porsche 911 GT3 is the re-introduction of a manual transmission, which most probably is the six-speed unit featured in the limited-edition 911 R. Here's what we know about the upcoming model so far:

2017 Porsche 911 GT3: Powertrain

The GT3 won't be getting a turbo-charged engine power, which Porsche has been introducing in the other models of the 911 family. The GT3, as well as the GT3 RS, will feature the naturally aspirated flat-six engines, which are most likely to be the updated versions of the 350kW/440Nm 3.8-litre for the GT3 as well as the updated 368kW/480Nm for the GT3 RS engine units featured in the outgoing cars.

2017 Porsche 911 GT3: Looks And Features

The updated design of the new 2017 Porsche 911 GT3 makes the existing models look hard to please. The biggest change has been made up on the Cars\' front. The lower fascia of the earlier model has been jutted out in the center, the smaller intakes, on the other hand, are flanking the central opening extended alongside it.

Front Lights are modified as well with reduced sizes appearing as little eyebrows located above the lower intakes on the outside. The rear bumper vent of the 2017 Porsche 911 GT3 is now sharper and slimmer than before. The vent underneath the spoiler has been moved up into the ducktail but is more elegantly integrated.

The lower reflectors are also now incorporated with the lower license plate outline. A simpler lower bumper is quite noticeable covering the dual center-exit pipes. The overall profile including the rear wing, however, looks mostly the same.

2017 Porsche 911 GT3: Interior

The interior is also expected to have some minor changes. Featuring the latest Porsche infotainment system, the Porsche 911 GT3 has some of the most advanced tech installed. The interior will spec a 7.0-inch display, updated navigation with real-time traffic info, smartphone integration as well as Google Earth functionality.

The new 2017 Porsche 911 GT3 incorporates all the features of the earlier model in a much better way. Porsche hasn\'t yet announced any official release date. However, the facelifted model is expected to be released in 2017. The price of the upcoming cars' 2017 model has also not been revealed. Stay tuned to SWR for further updates about the 2017 Porsche 911 GT3 price and release date.
