Even for several Apple users, buying an Apple watch is a costly affair. The Apple watch is never a necessity, unlike the Apple phones. But what if your health insurance would cover and subsidize your apple watch.

Aetna, a Health insurance company, is offering 50,000 free Apple watch to its employees.  The health insurance company will run a wellness reimbursement program for its employees. Aetna is the first company to take such an initiative for its employees.

Aetna CEO Mark Bertolini, said, "This is only the beginning - we look forward to using these tools to improve health outcomes and help more people achieve more healthy days," as reported by CNBC. The health insurance company believes such initiatives will encourage employees to live a productive and healthy life. Tracking their exercise and monitoring vital signs is the first step towards a healthy life.
