The newest smartphones of Apple and Samsung are currently making headlines and are the subjects of discussions among various technology enthusiasts. iPhone 7 Plus and Samsung Galaxy Note 7 specifications and highlights are similar and both phones target the same demography. With this, the competition is apparently tough. Fans are now arguing on which is better and can give their money's worth. Undeniably, the Note 7 is tech-heavy, and the question among some enthusiasts is whether or not iPhone 7 is a match for it.

In a comparison published in Tech Times, it was said that iPhone 7 Plus is generally less impressive compared to Samsung Galaxy Note 7. However, there are multiple occasions that say otherwise.

As for the design of iPhone 7 Plus, it is basically expected from an iPhone but in a larger package. Among the highlights are the iOS 10 that gives numerous advantages, a high-quality screen that sits at 5.5 inches with 1920 x 1080 pixels and pixel density of 401 ppi, and the dual cameras that are both of of 12-megapixel variety. Lastly, it comes with three versions: one with 32 GB internal memory that costs $769, one with 128 GB that costs $869, and another one with 256 GB that costs $969.

On the other hand, Samsung is quite more open with their specifications, which is expected from manufacturers of Android phones. Samsung Galaxy Note 7 sports a 5.7-inch display with 2560 x 1440 pixels and a pixel density of 518 ppi. It has a single 12-pixel camera and like the iPhone 7 Plus, it has the ability to record 4, 000 videos. For its operating system, it has the Android 6.0.1 Marshmallow. Additionally, Samsung Galaxy Note 7 highlights an impressive CPU, a 64 GB internal storage, a microSD slot that gives room for expandable memory, and 4 GB RAM. As for the price, it comes at $880 for AT&T, $849 for T-Mobile, and $834 for U.S. Cellular.

According to Forbes, Apple may have failed to impress analysts and journalists, but the good thing about the iPhone 7 is that it seems to focus on what matters. And while Samsung Galaxy Note 7 seems to have more flashy specs, a decent sales number can still be expected for the iPhone 7 and 7 Plus.

Meanwhile, both smartphones are in the middle of heated discussions and controversies. For the iPhone 7 Plus, numerous users do not seem to be happy about the removal of headphone jack; and for Samsung Galaxy Note 7, news about it being a fire hazard has definitely scared a lot of users. In the end, it is the consumers' careful thinking that would bring them to the better smartphone to use.
