After months of waiting, the handy and ultra-thin Pocket VR viewer by Speck is finally out in the market raising interest for those who are looking for alternatives to the expensive Gear VR.

Gizmodo claims that this is thin enough that can fit inside a pocket. This can be used for either iPhone6/6s or Samsung Galaxy S7. This pocket VR, however, will not work with other smartphones. The design would require users to wrap the VR viewer in an included case for function well.

This Pocket VR gives users access to the buttons and touchscreens, making things easier for phone owners. This, according to Android Central, solves the issue with Google's Cardboard viewer.  Convenience is a great buy in point for this newly launched Pocket VR. This can be used practically anywhere.

When folded, it reveals two precision-crafted lenses, while the edges of the VR can clip neatly into the CandyShell Grip case giving users a seamless experience. When not in use, the VR is also protected from dust and scratches since lenses slide neatly behind the panels. The greatest feature is that it can be completely folded allowing users to put it in their pocket.

This VR, however, is not being sold separately. Smartphone users who are interested should purchase it with the Grip case. The set can be bought at $69.95. Speck has not announced yet is there are plans to bring Pocket VR to other phone case line-ups as of this writing.

This innovation was initially announced in January, as reported by Digital Trends. This was after Speck has decided to partner with Jaunt to create a different viewing experience. This is to respond to the demand to come up with a more comfortable VR experience, and this is essentially the product's greatest selling point.  It was officially out in the market early this week.
