Huawei Mate 9 Specs & Release Date: Possible Entry In US On January 6, Mate 9 Pro & Mate 9 Lite Also In Tow

There is a great news for the smartphone owners across US. Huawei Mate 9, Huawei's flagship model, is getting launched in the United States Market in 2017.

You can either be a fan of the Huawei brand, or you can choose to not be one. However, it is not small news that this Chinese hardware giant has made remarkable leaps in the smartphone segment in this year. One recent well received phone was the Huawei Mate 9 and the Huawei Mate 9 with Porsche Design.

The smartphone is available in the markets of Europe, Japan, China, UAE, Malaysia and Thailand- to mention a few countries. It was until recently, missing the mention of United States in this list. However, according to different reports, Huawei Mate 9 will be released in the US market in the beginning of 2017.

United States is one of the biggest markets for smartphones and this launch was slated to happen soon enough. A tweet by Evan Blass, with some insider info knowledge, specified the date January 6 as that of the official launch. The said tweet only refers to Huawei Mate 9, but we expect that the Porsche Design model would also be available, albeit in limited stock.

These phones don't come for cheap. Huawei Mate 9's price is around €699 and the latter design model is €1,395. A release in the United States would be a great idea in order to support such price tags. Huawei has yet not clarified the price tag for these phones in the US.

Not just these two models, but there is also a buzz that the latest additions Huawei Mate 9 Pro and Mate 9 Lite would also be making a hopeful entry in the US market. Huawei Mate 9 Pro comes with similar specification of the Porsche Design without the cost adding elements like the paint job and the Porsche brand name. Huawei Mate 9 Lite comes with a lower grade processor Kirin 655 SoC and a lesser resolution camera. This translates into more affordability.

The display is 5.9 inch with 1080 p resolution and IPS panel. The processor is a speedy Kirin 960 SoC with 4 GB of RAM and 64 GB of storage (expansable). The battery is a mighty 4000 mAh and the camera is pretty awesome. It has a powerful Leica dual camera on the backside.

Huawei Mate 9 Porsche Design Specs

The branded model ups the ante with a whopping 6GB or RAM and 256 GB of storage. The screen is 5.5 inch with a respectable QHD AMOLED panel.
