OnePlus 4 Release Date, Specs, Rumors: Handset To Sport A Massive 8GB RAM, Snapdragon 830 Processor?

After the launch of Google's Pixel smartphones, tech enthusiasts now have their eyes set on the most anticipated 2017 handsets which also include Chinese smartphone maker OnePlus's next gen OnePlus 4 smartphone. While, nothing about OnePlus 4 release date, specs or features have been officially announced, rumors are that the smartphone will come carrying top notch hardware configuration and specs even powerful than Apple's iPhone 7 and Samsung's Galaxy range of smartphones.

According to oneplus4.net, the upcoming OnePlus 4 will come in an aluminum curved body with a decent 5.5 inch OLED display with 4K resolution and Corning's Gorilla Glass 5 protection. The OnePlus 3 successor is expected to sport Qualcomm's next-generation high-end Snapdragon 830 processor which is yet to get released. The Snapdragon 830 processor will reportedly be manufactured by Samsung.

Among other specs, the OnePlus 4 is rumored to get a whopping 8GB RAM, 256GB external storage support via microSD card, Google's latest operating system Android 7.0 Nougat, a 4,000 mAh battery and a fingerprint scanner. It is to be noted that the critically acclaimed OnePlus 3 offers 6GB RAM, Apple iPhone 7 and iPhone 7 Plus offers 2GB RAM and 3GB of RAM respectively, while Samsung's Galaxy Note 7 comes with 4GB RAM.

There are reports which claim that the upcoming OnePlus smartphone might feature a powerful 21 MP or 23 MP main camera with Sony sensor integration and an 8MP front camera. As far as pricing is concerned, the current OnePlus 3 was launched at US$399, so, it is expected that the next gen OnePlus 4 will come with a price tag in between $400-$500. The OnePlus 4 release date is expected to take place in the first quarter of 2017, possibly in April or May.
