It has been rumored that the next Pokémon GO update will feature trading. However it has come to our attention that Pokémon GO fanatics have recently unearthed the next update, and it has nothing to do with trading. The upcoming feature will be called "Buddy System" where trainers will be allowed to spend more time with their favorite Pokémon.

A report from cnet.com said that some avid Pokémon GO players at Go Hub were able to dig up data from the game which showed a Buddy system coded into the game. However, the code has not been set to go live just yet. The update will apparently allow you to choose a Pokémon who will walk side-by-side with your avatar, which will also give you a chance to earn more Pokémon candies over time.

However, it is important to remember that you will only be allowed to walk one Pokémon at a time, and although you can walk with them more than once, there will be a daily limitation on how much candy you will be awarded for it. The update, according to Forbes, will also come with a new kind of animation showing your Buddy Pokémon following you around on screen.

It is also important to note that certain aspects of this system may change before its much awaited release (rumored to be in the coming weeks). While some fans think this update is still a hoax, many have expressed their excitement over this update. It has also been said that this update is an adaption of something fans had suggested almost exactly the same multiple times since the game launched, digitalspy.com reported.

Meanwhile, this super-fun new update from the game will add new reasons to get all the 130 million people who have downloaded the game all over the world hooked on it even more. It might even be one of the reasons the 15 million trainers who have quit the game to play again.

So far, Pokémon GO creator Niantic Labs did not respond to a request for comment. For more news and updates on everything Pokémon GO, make sure you're tuned in to Science World Report.
