There is some interesting news in stock for WhatsApp iOS users. WhatsApp, if reports are to be believed, will now let the users recall and edit their messages which are posted on the WhatsApp app. This is yet another addition to the list of innovations which have been brought forth by the Facebook-owned enterprise in recent times.

This information has been tweeted by WABetaInfo on their Twitter handle. According to them, the Whatsapp messenger will now allow the users of the iOS 2.17.1.869 platform to edit sent messages, using the WhatsApp beta version. However, the option will not be activated by default itself. It is active only under development. If you use WhatsApp on your iPhones, you can edit and recall your sent messages.

However, this add-on feature does not mean that you will be able to edit any old message. It is only applicable for recent messages sent by you. If, after the update, you post messages, they can be edited successfully. Currently, this attribute is only available for the iOS platform. Only recently, WhatsApp video calls were made viable for all platforms.

Other brilliant features of WhatsApp include the fact that you can restore old messages when you migrate from an old phone to a brand new gadget. Apart from being able to backup data on Google Drive, you can also create a proper access point in an SD card before you change devices.

Apart from all these attributes, WhatsApp allows people to add different font formatting in the messages you send across. You could opt for the bold, italics or strikethrough format. Are you excited about this latest Whatsapp update? Do you think allowing editing and recall of messages is a good idea in terms of proper communication? Keep watching this space for more updates.
