While customers are eagerly waiting for the next flagship device in the LG G-Series, the LG G6, latest news update suggest that the company is also developing a new V-Series flagship device for mid-range phone buyers. The phone is expected to be a less expensive option between the existing V-series flagship handsets V10 and V20. Thus, the LG V5 leaks indicate that it will be an attractive buy for mid-range purchases.

The LG V5 Twitter Leaks

The above-mentioned device is dubbed as the LG V5. The upcoming V5 phone's supposed image was leaked by OnLeaks on a recent twitter post. According to OnLeaks tweet, the image is a "rough" draft of the upcoming device.

OnLeaks has reported that it is unsure if "V5" is the actual name of the upcoming phone. The image shows that the device will sport a plastic housing. It poses a slightly less sophisticated appearance than its premium predecessors, as reported by Slashgear.

The LG V5 Renders Mid-Range Flagship Device

Also, the device does not sport the popular USB Type C battery charging port. Instead, it is expected to come with the traditional microUSB charging port. The interesting aspect of the renders is that the smartphone will have a rear panel which is unique and minimal in design making it more attractive for the midrange buyers.

LG V5 Specs and Features

The display size is expected to be between 5.3 to 5.5 inches with a 1,280 x 720 resolution, which is the standard quality in most mid-range smartphones, as reported by Gamenguide. However, the supposedly removable back panel is also rumored to feature the standard fingerprint scanner. This places the phone at the higher end of its so-called mid-range. The V5 is expected to run with Android 7.0 Nougat out of the box or its predecessor.

A good choice for Mid-range buy

Though the upcoming smartphone does not have much of a "wow" factor like most of the flagship devices that enter the market the phone has many good features to look forward to for mid-range buyers. Stay tuned to SWR for more updates on LG V5 leaks and new information.
