Apple recently unveiled the new MacBook Pro 2016, however, it seems like the tech giant should have waited a bit more before rolling out the refreshed model. The new MacBook is available in 13" and 15" variants and some of the buyers have already started complaining about a new MacBook Pro 2016 GPU glitch. Although some users have reported a minor glitch, other feedbacks state that it's leading to unrecoverable crashes as well.

If the recent reports are true, then the refreshed MacBook Pro Model has some major problems, like the screen tearing and flickering on using certain apps. Recent threads on MacRumors as well as Apple.com, have been covered with the issue. Here's what we know about the New MacBook Pro 2016 GPU Glitch so far:

New MacBook Pro 2016 GPU Glitch: Users' Feedbacks

A number of early buyers of the 2016 Macbook Pro have reported GPU glitches in their devices. The glitches happen when a user works on certain apps. While some users stated that the glitch occurs while using the Adobe Media Encoder, others believe it to be related to the Photos app. The glitch continues until the Macbook goes off to a unrecoverable crash.

The new MacBook Pro 2016 GPU glitch makes the screen violently flash with red and green hues in a chequerboard pattern. Users believe the problem to be caused by image processing apps like photos as well as the Image Conversion Service on the device. It's worth noticing that the glitch has been reported to occur on both the discrete as well as integrated GPU configurations of the 15" MacBook Pro.

Although Apple has not yet given any official statement about the same, a user was recently told by a representative that the glitch was due to some hardware problem. Some users have also reported having problems with the screen's background coming forth the foreground content making it very difficult to use.

As stated earlier, the issues are mostly on the new MacBook Pro 2016 15" variant. While the glitch occurs when the user is working on any Adobe software or Apple's Photos app, it isn't totally known whether the glitch is due to a faulty hardware or some OS problem.

Similar issues were reported on the earlier models as well, but the glitches were related to MacOS and were corrected later on. It appears that for the glitches with the new refreshed MacBook Pro, the same problem should be held accountable. Apple has so far remained silent on the topic.
