Russia reveals its newest and biggest nuclear missile dubbed as Satan 2, which can wipe out an area the size of England and Wales. It has a top speed of 4.3 miles (7 km) per second and conceptualized to outfox anti-missile shield systems.

Daily Mail reports that the Russian President Vladimir Putin is planning to change the older SS-18 Satan weapons with Satan 2 or also known as RS-28 Sarmat missile. This could deliver warheads of 40 megatons, which is about 2,000 times as powerful as the atom bombs that destroyed Nagasaki and Hiroshima in 1945.

The images of the new missile Sarmat is revealed by engineers from Makeyev Rocket Design Bureau. It is undergoing tests now and scheduled to be of service by 2018. The Makeyev Rocket Design Bureau released a statement that says: "In accordance with the Decree of the Russian Government 'On the State Defense Order for 2010 and the planning period 2012-2013', the Makeyev Rocket Design Bureau was instructed to start design and development work on the Sarmat. They further stated that the potential strategic missile system is being built to create an assured and effective nuclear deterrent for Russia's strategic forces, according to Independent.

It is reported that there are tensions between the Russia and the West since the end of the Cold War over Russia's conduct in Syria and Ukraine. Russia has just launched this month a nationwide civil defense training exercise to guarantee the safety of the country in preparation for a nuclear attack from the West. Meanwhile, Dr. Paul Craig Roberts, the ex-assistant secretary of the Treasury for Economic Policy stated that the new class of missiles would also be powerful and strong enough to "wipe out three-fourths of New York state for thousand years."
