Shuhei Yoshida, Executive, Sony Interactive Entertainment, has confirmed that "The Last Guardian" has gone gold. This announcement has been made after years of wait for the next edition of "The Last Guardian."

Jun Yoshino, Producer, Sony Interactive Entertainment, gave a hint of the game going gold through his twitter account which further created anxiety among game lovers, reported lazygamer.

Yoshida tweeted "Gone gold, waddup." through his twitter account which was also deleted in an hour or so as the news started trolling on social media sites. After this announcement, fans immediately hoped for the Last Guardian to go gold, but since it was removed there were fears, that it might not be what they thought. A little later, another tweet by Shuhei Yoshida, sealed the news.

When they say that "The Last Guardian" has gone Gold, it basically implies that the game's development is over. Speculations are that 'The Last Guardian' will be the game of the year, as goes the old saying that to get anything worthy, one has to wait for a long time.

The Guardian history goes back to a decade back in 2007, when the game developers started working on the first game of the series. This game was an instant hit among the game lovers. Even after knowing the game's progress at E3 2016, the fans were more eager to know the release date. The game had stood by couple of harsh feedback, since the game wasn't able to adjust to the generation gap from PS3 to PS4. Reported playstationlifestyle.

"The Last Guardian" has been delayed several times. It was scheduled to release this September but was delayed as developers needed time to remove bugs and polish the game.
