The word is out that Apple has been working on the MacBook Pro 2016, and they have been busy on that end because big changes are expected and it is more than just the upgraded specs and thinner body. Rumors circulating around the much awaited notebook from Apple is more than informative online, and to make everyone extra hyped on what could be in store, here is a quick roundup of the talks about the said notebook.

The Awaited Redesign

The new MacBook Pro 2016 is said to be more sleeker and a will have a revamped design thanks to its "shallower curves on the edges." According to Mark Gurman of Bloomberg, the next versions of the lineup are going to have "smaller footprints.

Much Thinner Once More

Analyst Ming-Chi Kuo from the reliable KGI Securities mentioned that the new MacBook Pro is dropping off more weight for it to become even thinner. Thanks to its specialized hinges that Apple reportedly used on the device.

The More The Merrier

Once again coming from Mr. Kuo, Apple is expected to launch a 13-inch variant of the MacBook Pro together with the 16-inch model.

Intel and AMD Under the hood

Most if not all of the MacBook Pro models will have the Intel Skylake chips, while for those who needs a little more horsepower in the graphic processing side, AMD variants with AMD Polaris will also be available, according to Gurman.

TouchID for Biometric Security

Kuo speculates that the upcoming MacBook Pro will adapt the TouchID technology just like that on the iPhone. The fingerprint sensor will be placed on the power button of the notebook. This means an extra layer of security is added to the mix aside from the convenience it brings of unlocking things.

If Gurman's predictions are right, the next MacBook Pro models are sure to get an October 2016 release date.
