Amazon, Facebook, Microsoft, Google, And IBM form 'Partnership on AI' To Develop Artificial Intelligence.

Amazon, Facebook, Microsoft, Google, and IBM join hands to further develop Artificial Intelligence. Artificial intelligence is already changing the way technology works. AI is extensively used today by Facebook to identify your friend's photo, popping up recommended video for you on media sharing sites and even helping Siri to talk.

Partnership on AI, interesting take, will it end the world?

To build more on AI, Amazon, Facebook, Microsoft, Google and IBM have created a unique group called Partnership on AI (Artificial Intelligence.) This Partnership on AI is meant to benefit people and society in common. The mission of this non-profit Partnership on AI  is to carry out an extensive research on Artificial Intelligence, evolving process document and guidelines for developing AI and progressing general public's understanding of Artificial Intelligence. Maybe to burst the myth that Robot are harmful to us and they may take our jobs. Reported, Cnet.

According to The Guardian, 'Partnership on AI' is not just an awareness raising group on Artificial Intelligence and it will include corporates, scholars and specialist from the corporate world, academic scholars and policies. The agenda of this new Partnership on AI  is to point out how AI has significantly contributed to the increasing smartness and software of the major IT companies.

It is believed that AI shall keep growing as applications shifts from academic to commercial use. Still, a lot of research and work has to be done if artificial intelligent has to be made more useful and more intelligent and this is the reason why these competitors companies came together to form Partnership on AI group.

To the surprise of many, Apple Inc. was missing from the group. On Wednesday, 'Partnership on AI' group announced that additional partner if any will be announced in near future.

Eric Horvitz, interim co-chairman, Microsoft stated that they are in discussion with apple, they are quite excited about this new project and might join Partnership on AI  soon. Surprisingly, Apple hasn't responded to any of such comments. Microsoft further stated that they have internally created a group of 5,000 computer scientists, engineers called 'Microsoft AI and Research Group'. Reported, BBC.

With all the competitors coming together for a common cause, Partnership on AI is a group to watch out for. They have even included Association for the advancement of Artificial Intelligence and the AIAI (Allen institute of artificial intelligence)in the Partnership on AI
