After tech enthusiasts spotted Google's much anticipated "Google Allo" messaging app in the "New & Updated" section of the Google Play Store, they are now eagerly waiting for the app's release date. They are anticipating that Allo's appearance in the Play store could be a hint that the text messaging service is not far from a roll out. What's more enticing for them is the fact that even before its official release, "Google Allo" has earned a rating of 4.8 stars out of 5, which is pretty much impressive. The high rating indicates that the pre-testers are very pleased with how the messaging app works.

The search engine giant had first showcased "Google Allo" along with "Duo" video calling app at the I/O 2016 developer conference. If recent reports are to believed, there are good chances that Google will unveil Allo at a special event on October 4, 2016.

Talking about "Google Allo" features, the upcoming mobile-only messaging app will be tied to user's phone number same as WhatsApp. It is to be noted that users will also be able to link the app with their Google account. The messaging app is expected to come with a user-friendly interface and will let users chat with their contacts in all ways like simple text messaging, sending graphics, emojis and stickers as well as doodling on photos.

According to a report coming from Android Police, citing alleged screenshots from a test version of "Google Allo," the messaging app from the search giant will also offer voice messaging feature. As per the report, voice messaging feature will enable users to quickly record voice messages and send to their contacts.

"Google Allo" is rumored to come with end-to-end encryption and Incognito Conversations as well as Smart Reply, Whisper and Shout features. Users will also be able to delete sent or received messages from their chat history.
