Electra Meccanica Vehicles Corporation, Vancouver recently unveiled the Three-wheeled Solo on Friday at British Columbia's Luxury and Supercar Weekend. The Electric-Powered Car won't look surprising to those who have been following Elio Motors' saga the past few years. The Solo could be in market as early as November as it is yet pending approval by U.S. and Canadian regulators. It will cost around $15,500.

Electra Meccanica spokesman Jeff Holland said,"Two hundred people have already done a refundable deposit of 250 Canadian dollars to get the Solo." Those who put deposits now may expect delivery after the first quarter of 2017. The company eventually hopes to take the Solo globally, states hybridcars.com.

Complete Specs:

Electra Meccanica expects the customers would be urban commuters who'd want an environmentally friendly vehicle. The U.S. and Canadian governments are currently certifying the vehicle and will let the company know if it will qualify for incentives, Holland said. Once the process is completed, the company plans to start stores and start delivering.

The Solo is to be sold at $19,888 in Canada, that is approximately $15,500 in U.S. dollars. Electra Meccanica also offers a bumper-to-bumper warranty package for two years and an eight-year long battery warranty, that is quite awesome.
