Windows 10 Anniversary Update: Microsoft Rolls Out Exciting Windows Store Offers

It seems Microsoft has a lot to offer before the release of the Windows 10 Anniversary Update on August 2. The software giant is celebrating Windows 10's first anniversary by offering a host of exciting deals in the Windows Store.

"We're excited to share some great offers hitting the Windows Store beginning tomorrow through July 29 as we countdown to the Windows 10 Anniversary Update on August 2," Microsoft's Mollie Ruiz-Hopper noted in a post on the Windows Experience blog.

"Enjoy new features on your favorite games, rent a movie for free and get up to four months of free music. Vote for your favorite titles in the Store for the chance to win one of 10 $50 Windows Store digital gift cards!"

It is to be noted that the Windows store offers, which started on Tuesday, July 19, will run through Friday, July 29. Some of these offers are only available for Windows 10 users.

The first episode of the hit mobile game, Minecraft: Story Mode- A Telltale Games Series, is currently available for free, while, the rest 5 episodes are available at a discount of 50 percent, reported Windows Central.

Mojang has released a free map for Minecraft: Windows 10 Edition Beta which features all kinds of crazy visuals and builds. The same is available for free download.

The Microsoft Solitaire Collection game is currently running a skill-based contest. The first 1.000 people in the U.S. who completes all the challenges in the Windows 10 First Anniversary Star Club collection will get $10 Microsoft Store gift code.

 The movie "School of Rock" starring Jack Black is available on rent for free on Microsoft Movies & TV. Microsoft is also offering up to four months of free Groove Music Pass usage for users' trialing the service or buying one month subscription for $9.99. Fans of popular tower defense game Age of Empires: Castle Siege can enjoy giveaways, contests, and free in-game boosts, reported WinBeta.

There's also a contest where users can vote for their favorite Windows Store apps, games, movies and TV shows and get a chance to win one of ten $50 Windows Store gift cards. Winners will be announced on July 29.
