While, Apple fans are eagerly waiting for Apple Watch 2 to get released, new rumors about the next gen smartwatch's specs and features are piling up more and more.

According to GameNGuide, the upcoming Apple Watch 2 will get a Night Shift mode feature which will lessen the emission of blue light from the wearable gadget by making the screen color warmer and allowing for a better sleep. The blue light which comes from smartphones and wearable device is known to cause insomia in users.

There are reports which suggest that Apple Watch will release with new microLED screen tech. The new screen technology, which consumes comparatively lower power than OLED, will ensure a longer battery life and thinner design.

In addition, a report coming from 9to5Mac claims that the upcoming Apple Watch 2 could boast GPS and swimming tracking functionality. At present, Apple Watch users need to have their iPhones with them to track a run or get directions on their smartwatch. GPS feature on upcoming smartwatch mean that individuals will no longer have to be dependent on their iPhones.

Most of the fitness wearable devices available in the market are well efficient in tracking runs, walks, bike rides, but there aren't many devices with swim tracking feature. It is likely that fitness enthusiasts will choose the upcoming Apple Watch over other wearable devices if it gets the rumored feature.

The Apple Watch 2 is also expected to include an ARM Cortex A32 processor, which is almost 25 percent faster than the current ARM-based processor and offers improved battery life. The Cupertino is rumored to add a FaceTime camera to the Apple Watch for selfie and video calls.

As far as Apple Watch 2 release date is concerned, there are high chances that the next gen smartwatch could be launched alongside iPhone 7 in September.

We advise our readers to take the information with a grain of salt as the Cupertino has not confirmed anything yet.
