World's Largest Previous Gem Holder Unearths 214.65 Carat Diamond In Russia

An unearthed 214.45 carat diamond is decalred one of the largest quality diamond ever unearthed from Russia. The surface of the diamond were found to contain small amounts of dissolution, which are tetragonal cavities with channels and caverns. The Unearthed 214.65 carat diamond was discovered in the Nyurbinskoye placer deposit. Alrosa, which reported the discovery, is a Russian-based company that has been supplying the world's top diamonds globally.
Alrosa said on Wednesday that it had recovered the 214.65 carat rough diamond from its Nyurbinskoye placer deposit, Diamond.gift reported. Alrosa also stated that the crystal measures 42.11 by 34.26 by 16.07 mm. The crystal has a translucent grey hue.
The unearthed 214.65 carat rock was discovered in the Nyurbinskoye deposit that is located near the Nyurbinskaya pipe; a known source of producing large carat diamonds.The pipe is run by Nyurba Mining and Processing Division that's one of Alrosa's youngest units.
Alrosa's Nyurbinskoye deposit is located close to the Nyurbinskaya pipe primary deposit, a known source of big diamonds, which is run by the Nyurba Mining and Processing Division, one of Alrosa's youngest units.
Alrosa produces about 27 percent of the world's diamond amount with its main operations based in Yakutia. The company is known to have produced more than 1.28 billion carats from its diamond reserves and holds the title as world's largest holder of precious gems. Based on Bad Blue Money, Fyodor Andreyev, the company chief, commented that their estimate gives them a reason to believe that Russia holds the biggest diamond reserves in the world.
Over 90 percent of Alrosa is held by the government. This week, the Russian government completed the sale of 10.9 percent stake in Alrosa and was the biggest selling of state asset since three years ago when the government reduced its stake in Alrosa.
The unearthed 214.65 carat rock was a bridge that would help Alrosa create more mining deposits and wipe off debts.
