If new reports are to be believed Samsung's much anticipated Galaxy Note 7 will run Google's new mobile OS dubbed Android 7 Nougat. It was previously rumored that the upcoming phablet would come out with Android Marshmallow 6.0.1.

According to GSM Arena, there are high chances that Samsung's next flagship would launch alongside a new Android iteration. A supposed listing on benchmarking site Geekbench shows a Samsung device with model number SM-N930. While, it's not confirmed that that the device in question is the Galaxy Note 7, the model number for the phone is SM-N930F which follows Note 5's model number SM-N920. The device mentioned in the listing is considered to be as an "early prototype," as it packs the old Exynos 7420 chipset. In addition, the device is backed by 3GB of RAM.

Another report coming from Times News claims that the Samsung Galaxy Note 7 has already made its appearance on AnTuTu benchmark site with most of the specs listed. The device is listed with the model number SM-N930V. As per the report, the upcoming Note phablet will feature a qHD display resolution of 2560 x 1440 pixels and a Qualcomm Snapdragon 820 processor with Adreno 530 GPU. However, the listing doesn't reveal the display size. Previous rumors claim that the screen size could be between 5.8 and 6.0-inches.

The phablet will be backed by 4GB of RAM and 64GB inbuilt storage slot. The phablet features a 13-megapixel rear LED flash camera and a 5-megapixel front facing camera. While, there are rumors that the handset will run the latest Android N Nougat, the listing shows the Samsung device running Android 6.0.1 Marshmallow OS.

Known leaker Steve Hemmerstoffer posted the leaked image of the "Galaxy Note 7" specifications from AnTuTu on Twitter.

Recently, popular tipster Evan Blass leaked alleged pictures of the upcoming device on Twitter. The tweet sent out by Blass shows the smartphone's overall design as well as reveals the different color options that the Galaxy Note 7 will be made available in. As per the leaked picture, the Samsung Galaxy Note 7 will come in Black Onyx, Silver Titanium, and Blue Coral color variants.

In the leaked picture, the rear panel of the smartphone can be seen imprinted with the words "Galaxy Note 7." The pictures also confirm that the upcoming phablet will have an iris scanner located at the upper left side of the device alongside the front camera.

As far as the release date is concerned, Samsung is expected to unveil the Galaxy Note 7 sometime next month.
