Viral ‘Chewbacca Mask’ Star Mom Visits Facebook Office

Internet sensation Candace Payne, who became famous because of an electronic Chewbacca mask, recently visited Facebook's headquarters in California.

While insider her car parked outside a department store, she streamed like a video that became the most watched Facebook Live video in history. Since then, she has been in demand. She was even interviewed by NPR and Good Morning America. She also had an appearance on The Late Show with James Corden.

In his Facebook note, the social media giant's CEO Mark Zuckerberg said, "We invited Candace Payne-whose Chewbacca mask video got 141 million views and is now the most-watched Facebook Live video ever-to come by Facebook HQ today! And we had a fun surprise for her!"

The reach of her video also reflected the popularity of Facebook Live. And the demand for live video among users also impressed the Facebook CEO who made this feature a priority for the company. Just last year, Facebook was reportedly able to stream 200 million live broadcasts.

During her visit at the Facebook HQ, she had a chance to pose with the legendary Wookiee warrior outside Facebook. They even had chat over coffee and rode a bike. Zuckerberg also posted photos of the said visit in his own timeline.

Meanwhile, late night host James Corden also surprised the internet sensation by allowing her to meet the actor behind the Star Wars creature. On his show, he read a message from Chewbacca actor Peter Mayhem, who said he wants to meet Payne when he comes home to Texas.

In the same show, Payne also appeared with Corden and Star Wars director J.J. Abrams where the three of them wore masks.

When asked what pushed her to take that video, Payne said during her guesting in Good Morning America: "The world, as a whole, is in need of a good laugh."
