When it comes to the top gadgets of the year, we have you covered. We've taken a closer look at some of the coolest high-tech gear just in time for Black Friday and Cyber Monday-just so you're prepared for this holiday season.

First off, we have the camera drone, which is effective a cross between your GoPro and a remote-controlled helicopter. We don't list a specific one, since prices range wildly depending on what you want. However, if you don't mind shelling out some extra money, the DJI Phantom 3 is pretty exceptional. If you want something a lot cheaper, then you probably want to stick with the Hubsan X4. Either way, you'll get the opportunity to get some breathtaking views on film with these new pieces of tech.

The second item on our list is the OneWheel, a revolutionary, one-wheeled, skateboard that effectively balances itself. Because the wheel is so sturdy, it can handle more terrain than your average skateboard. Combine that with the fact that you don't need to use your own push-power (it's electric), you're in for a ride that looks a lot less nerdy than the segway.

We wouldn't have a proper list without the latest smartwatch, either. The Samsung Gear S2 is our top pick for smartwatches-mostly due to its sleek design. You need to shell out a bit extra for the cellular version to make the most of the GPS features, but it's still a good pick. Its battery life outlasts most rivals, and it just looks plain cool.

The list wouldn't be complete without the BB-8 robot toy. Based on the robot from the latest Star Wars movie, The Force Awakens, this toy can be controlled with the simple use of an app on your phone or tablet. That's sure to make an impact as you drive it around your home.

Last but not least, there's the Amazon Echo, which is effectively a super smart speaker that can answer any questions you have, track your daily schedule, and play your favorite music and audio books. The voice recognition software is pretty impressive, and can usually pick up your voice even when you're across a room.
