The Ebola scare has sent a nurse who recently worked with patients suffering from the illness under quarantine. After she arrived in Newark on Friday, a new order set by governors of New York and New Jersey has required that she stay in quarantine for at least 21 days in accordance with the recently announced policy, according to The New York Times.

The nurse had not exhibited symptoms when she landed. However, she started to run a fever, according to the New Jersey Department of Health.

Ebola symptoms have been linked to the following problems, according to the Mayo Clinic: Nausea and vomiting, diarrhea, red eyes, rash, chest pain and cough, stomach pain and severe weight loss. In some cases, bleeding from the eyes and other orifices has also been connected to the health issue.

The governor has ordered quarantines for anyone entering the country through Newark Liberty and Kennedy International Airport who came in direct contact with Ebola patients in Guinea, Liberia and Sierra Leone.

This is shortly following the first New York City positive Ebola case.

A doctor who had recently returned from Guinea, later tested positive for the potentially deadly virus--making him the fourth infected in the United Sates.

Though he said he had not initially felt sick, following his leave from Africa, he had contact with four different people, including his fiancé, took three city subway lines, and hung out at a bowling alley in Brooklyn. The bowling alley is being disinfected at this time and has been shut down. Subway lines are also being cleaned and anyone in contact with him is also in quarantine.
