In the world of iPhones and Seamless, everything is on the go, easy to access and almost--quite literally--at our fingertips, with the simple swipe of a screen. Could the same now be true for parenting? (To an extent, of course.)

Sproutling, the "world's smartest baby monitor," recently launched a pre-order campaign for its machine-learning monitor to predict a baby's sleeping patterns, mood and room conditions to help provide personalized insights for parents via an iOS app.

So far, this project has raised close to $2.6 million and an additional $100,000 this year to design a wearable device that's aimed at raising parental IQ and relieving stress.

However, smart baby monitors are nothing new. Withings' Smart Baby Monitor and Mimo both have notifying features that tell a parent if something is wrong with their baby. The wearable boot Owlet even measures a baby's heart rate.

What makes Sproutling different is that it uses machine-learning technology to send parents push notifications if they cannot dedicate full-attention to their child at the moment, including predictions on when the baby may wake up, roll over, mood, etc., according to Tech Crunch.

Though new parents, in particular, may be skeptical about the product's safety, Sproutling officials reassure moms and dads that this product is safe and simple. A hypoallergenic band provides breathable material for the user and will not impede the child's movement in any way.The monitoring device for the child is worn on their ankle. It is also washable.

The price is currently listed at $249, according to the company's website.
