Cutting edge styles and fashion go hand in hand in Japan. Lately, Japan has again been creating a lot of buzz on the Internet for the novel methods advertising agencies are employing to get their brands noticed in advert-saturated Tokyo.

An advertising agency has come up with a unique and fascinating style to promote their brand. The agency rents Japanese girls' thighs for advertising.

Hidenori Atsumi, CEO of advertising agency WIT, who has kick started this interesting and rare campaign, says for him "the thighs are the limit". The company pays young women to wear advertisements on thighs in the form of stickers.

"Tokyo is so saturated with marketing that getting eyeballs on ads has become a huge challenge. And interestingly one never tires of looking at girls' legs - hence the thighvertising," Atsumi was quoted in New Zealand Herald.

It's an absolutely perfect place to put an advertisement, as it is what guys are eager to look at, and girls are ok to expose," he continues to say.

Those Japanese young girls who are looking to make a few extra bucks and are OK to expose can participate in this new campaign. Only criteria are that they must be at least 18 years old and need to have a minimum of 20 friends on social media sites. If you rent your thigh for advert space, the daily rate is $121 on each thigh and till date the campaigns have included ads for "Ted," a Mark Wahlberg movie, and the band Green Day, reports UPI.com.

The girls are required to wear miniskirts and long stockings to capture the attention of people and need to move around the city for eight hours. The girls who have the adverts on their thighs should be willing to share pictures of their thighverts in two different locations on internet.

The company has received a positive response from more than 3000 girls willing to transform themselves into walking billboards.

One of the participant said, "I wouldn't do this if they put it on my belly or places that I'm embarrassed to expose. But if it's on my chubby thighs, what's the problem?"

With thighvertising a trend, let's wait and watch the next innovative gimmick this country comes up with.
