Back in the 1970s, a rechargeable battery was invented, to eventually create a lithium-ion battery that has found its application in many appliances, devices and vehicles.

Primarily, the battery was created due to the oil and fuel crisis, and so we got a battery that will power cars and generators in the event of a power outage. The improvement of the battery itself, its capacity, safety has not stopped even today, because the technology is advancing at a very rapid speed, but the power needed to power up modern devices is greater and thus the battery must have a larger capacity.

Safety is, of course, the most important thing, which has been improved with every new discovery, especially because lithium-ion batteries can be found in many devices that we use in everyday life.

Lithium-Ion Batteries Are Used In More Applications Than You Knew

Most people think that lithium-ion batteries are only used for Tesla's electric cars, as well as for the Powerwall which is actually a lithium-ion battery that is charged by solar energy. The lithium-ion battery is now used in almost every cordless device.

We all have at least one device that works with a lithium-ion battery, and that is a mobile phone. Not everyone has a laptop which also has a battery, and those who do not have a laptop, have a home computer that also contains a lithium-ion battery, and some even use a UPS. For those who do not know what a UPS is, it is a device that serves to protect data and power during a power outage.

Lithium-ion batteries like Samsung 25r 18650 have contributed to the advancement of technology, so now we have devices that work without cables, or have cables, but only for base stations that recharge these devices. I think we all can hardly wait for more and more devices to be without cables, which interfere with both storage and simplicity of use.

Cordless Devices That Use Lithium-Ion Batteries

Electric toothbrushes - we are all slowly switching to electric toothbrushes because they are better than ordinary toothbrushes. Even though we still have to make movements that we would make with a regular toothbrush, but the rotation of the brush head during these regular movements allows us to clean our teeth better and more thoroughly.

Vacuum cleaners - All people hardly wait for a vacuum cleaner to appear that will work perfectly but without cables. Thanks to lithium-ion batteries, we can now buy handheld vacuum cleaners, and so we can quickly and thoroughly vacuum every corner, without pulling the vacuum cleaner hoses and pulling cables behind us. It also made it easier not having to unplug the vacuum cleaner and switch to another outlet to vacuum other parts of the house. Regular vacuum cleaners with cables do not have enough cable to reach all the rooms.

There are also new-generation vacuum cleaners that vacuums by itself and makes a map of the room to vacuum itself every time. When the battery is empty, the vacuum cleaner goes to the base station where it will be charged. In addition to these two vacuum cleaners, we also have small hand-held vacuum cleaners which can be used as a house or car vacuums.

Headphones - they made it easier to enjoy, especially for gamers because they won't be bothered by the cable while playing games. Also, they made it easier for music lovers to enjoy and now they can listen to music on the street without anyone even noticing that they have headphones. Another application for these amazing batteries is Bluetooth headphones for drivers, which make life easier for business people.

Power tools - Batteries have found their application in almost every device, as well as in power tools, which allows craftsmen to quickly and smoothly complete tasks such as drilling, screwing, sanding, cutting, measuring, and much more without needing a generator out a nearby outlet.

Power bank - We all have mobile phones, and none of us allow ourselves to run out of battery, but as each battery has its lifespan, so the battery in mobile phones weakens over time and the battery that keeps our mobile phones alive weakens. This is why the Power bank was created, which serves us to have a spare battery on hand so that we can always recharge our mobile phones when we are not able to put the mobile on the charger.

Surveillance systems (alarms) - Most houses, let alone business premises, are now under surveillance because the number of criminal activities has increased. To protect ourselves, more and more alarms are being installed in homes and business premises, to secure our valuables, money and ourselves. With the advancement of technology, we have got alarm systems that work with lithium batteries and don't need a direct connection to the electrical grid.

Small home and kitchen appliances - First of all, no one likes to see cables, but also to use devices that have cables that interfere with our daily routine. Now, there are more and more small home and kitchen appliances that work without cables using lithium-ion batteries, such as blenders, mixers, electric kettles, steam irons, mixers and much more.
