'Eat healthy, sleep well en do some exercise'. It's the most heard advice, everywhere. If you want to be fit, you have to do something. So take action.

Go running, swimming, walking, biking and so on. Even a twenty minutes walk a day, is a great step forward if you want to become healthier. It's good for your body and your mind.

No news at all

This all is no news. Everybody knows what he has to do if he wants to become more fit and healthy. But not everyone knows what to do after a workout. In other words: most people have no clue how to stáy fit!

At first, it is important to stick to the plan: keep on doing your exercises. But you can't if you don't take any rest in between. Rest is even more important than continuing your training without being aware of what you are doing and how to build up your strength and staying in shape.

What not to do

Some advice about how to act when you excursive are given here. And it is all about what NOT to do.

1. After your workout: take your clothes out. As soon as possible. Your sport-outfit is for sports and not for walking around in the house after you have done your run. Your body temperature declines after you have sported. It's easy to get a cold. So take it all out, take a shower and put on some warm clean clothes.

2. Don't sit on the couch. Alright, maybe for a minute or two. But after you have done your workout it is better to keep moving. Make a good meal, take your Ted Baker tas (translated to Dutch: Ted Baker tas) and go out for al little shopping or take a short walk with the dog. It is all ok, but don't lie down or something like that.

3. Don't take that smoothy directly after your run out of the fridge. Wait twenty to thirty minutes. Better for your body and especially your stomach. After half an hour you eat proteins and carbohydrates and stay hydrated. Drink al lot, water mostly.

4. Spare your muscles. Whatever you do for the rest of the day, don't make a lot of effort. Give your muscles the rest they need. Sportive men may go shopping with their Burkely tas. But don't go digging in the garden. The same counts for the woman.
