Faraday Future, the electric-car start-up is back in the news and this time for good reasons. The company will unveil its first production vehicle at the upcoming CES which is scheduled in the first week of January.

Faraday Future has released a teaser video showcasing the car, which was heaving wrapped to give away its looks. The car is completely camouflaged in the video and is shown racing against Tesla Model X, Bentley Bentayga, and Ferrari 488 Italia.

Since Faraday Future has released the video, we can assume that it won the race. The Faraday Future's video does not show any actual racing but displays an overlaying text which says, "The Results" and "Stay Connected."

It is not uncommon for electric cars to provide instant torque required in drag races. Gasoline cars need to reach 2,000 or 2,500 rpm before being able to deliver peak torque. On a similar mechanism, Tesla's fastest car can go from zero to 60mph in only 2.5 seconds. If the video is taken into consideration, it looks like that Faraday Future is faster than Tesla, as reported by BusinessInsider.

Last year Faraday Future had unveiled a Concept car at Las Vegas, which was a disappointment as Journalist were expecting a Tesla rival and ended up finding just a concept car. It looks like Faraday Future is prepared this year to unveil a new car. Although it looks like the new car will not be a new niche car rather will be one that will compete with Tesla's Model X.

No other details such as Price, Specs or even name about Faraday Future's new car were available at this time. It is worth noting that the company is sailing in troubled waters.

It has recently stopped the construction work at its $1billion factory in Las Vegas due to financial troubles. The start-up is backed by tech investor, Jia Yueting. According to a Bloomberg report, he has run into financial trouble and is facing a severe cash crunch.

Will that affect Faraday Future? Well, only time will tell. Stay tuned to SWR for more updates.
