Uber Bans Flirting, Physical Contact And Even Vomiting In A New Set Of Guidelines Released Recently

Uber has issued a new set of guidelines for the riders that bans them from physical contact, flirting, and asking the fellow passenger if they are single.

The new Uber ban has been imposed to ensure the safety of the passengers and to reduce "inappropriate or unsafe behavior" in the vehicle. The new Uber guidelines are primarily targeted at the Uberpool service, where strangers can share a ride together.

A fashion magazine Vogue had last year labeled Uber as the new Tinder. According to an Uber driver,

"They hook up themselves, it's a better way to meet someone than a dating site, the environment of the cab had unique sexual powers, I'm and eyewitness."

Uber ban also includes vomiting due to excessive consumption of alcohol. Smoking or intentionally spilling food can also get a rider banned. The new Uber guidelines did not clarify whether vomiting due to illness can get you banned or not, as reported by Digital Trends. 

The new  Uber guidelines also advise riders on etiquettes such as treating the driver with respect, not to shout, speak in low volume on the phone, not to slam the door, etc. Failure to adhere to any of these etiquettes can get you banned from Uber.

Uber will ban the rider who try to break the law of the land with the help of Uber services. Transporting banned substances, piling more people, and urging the driver to break the speed limit can get you banned from Uber, as reported by The Sun.

It is clear that Uber does not want the rider to use their service as Tinder. However, some guidelines go too far. For example, commenting on a fellow rider's appearance or asking them if he/she is single can qualify you for an Uber ban.

After Uber learns of the rider's violation of any of the guidelines as mentioned earlier, the ride-sharing company will contact the rider to investigate the matter and may temporarily impose an Uber ban. Serious or repeat offender would be banned permanently from Uber.
