As reports suggest, the utter failure and havoc created by Samsung Galaxy Note 7 explosions may be attributed to complex battery tightness issues. By this time you all must be well aware of the controversies surrounding the Galaxy 7 Note. The smartphone explodes for many users after being kept on charge. It has since been recalled by Samsung.

There have been many rumours and speculations about why this defect might have happened. People cite different reasons across the tech market. However, recent reports may finally have been able to answer the question being asked by many: WHY is the Galaxy Note 7 prone to exploding?

Tight Battery May Be The Cause

An independent analysis speculates that the South Korean giant has manufactured the Galaxy Note 7 wrongly by making it too right. The battery does not have any buffer space in the battery and the surrounding space. This lack of space may be the reason who 100+ users experienced the fires earlier this year.

Here is a video discussing the possible relation between the tight battery space and the Samsung Galaxy Note 7 explosions:

What happens is that because of this lack of buffer, the slightest increase in the battery size results in immediate contact with the surrounding metal space. This appears to be having a bad effect on the battery's membrane. This could also lead to the touching of positive and negative terminal plates of the battery. The energy resulting from this reaction may result in the fires.

Reports also suggest that this flaw may not be completely accidental. "Samsung engineers were clearly trying to balance the risk of a super-aggressive manufacturing process to maximize capacity, while attempting to protect it internally", said Instrumental regarding the battery mount.

It is to be noted here that the space between the battery and the metal part is less than 0.1mm! In other competitor phones, including the iPhones, the space is atleast 0.5mm. This is done to create a buffer for a future event that the battery may expand in due time.

Instrumental also speculates that had Samsung not recalled all the Galaxy 7 Note models due to explosions, all such devices across the world would have caught a fire. That's because the battery would have expanded and contracted regularly in the charging cycle.

Samsung has yet not clarified or accepted the reasons behind Galaxy Note 7 explosions.
