"The Last Guardian" will test the brain cells and wit of any gamer who decides to conquer Trico and his universe in Playstation 4. The mind-boggling, environment-based challenges can consume a lot of time and effort. Here are "The Last Guardian" tips and tricks on how to tame the beast, elements to look out for and avoid to save patience for other important aspects of the game.

How To Control Trico

Trico is a griffin-like, friendly creature that can climb and swim. Barrels are his favorite food, which is why it is imperative to feed the creature with its beloved delicacy that gives energy and drive to proceed. Just toss or hold the barrel near his mouth so he can start eating. The beast do not obey commands and starts to lie down when it is hungry.

Do not forget to pull out the spears out of the creature when he seems in pain. Just hold down the circle button and left thumbstick to take out the weapons. Trico may start roaring and move frantically some time in the game. To fix this, jump on its back and hold the circle button to stroke its back until he starts to calm down.

It takes time to train Trico but he is essential to the gamer's success. Try to sit on his back and pay attention to the direction he is treading because he can help find the right way in complicated spaces. He can also smash through wooden gates and be instructed to go to another direction.

Navigating The Area

Gamers may find themselves stuck in a certain area. The trick is to look for structures that Trico can leap through. Look out for ledges, gates and gaps because the boy can snuck his way out. The green climbing plants can be used to reach other structures. Always get Trico's help because he can conquer a steep cliff, and go through small gaps even if it seems he can do it.

Look out for butterflies because it signals that there's a crate near the boy and Trico. It can also give items that will help them in their adventure. Furthermore, mirrored shields can be used to zap wooden panels and glass eyes. Do not forget to take it when it appears on the terrain.

Other Tips

Mash the face and shoulder buttons during death to quickly get back to the game. In case the button mashing did not work, dying is a way out of a complicated area because It will bring back the characters to the solution in the game.
