There is a good news for online video viewers. YouTube has added support for high definition 4K videos for live streaming. YouTube has been a popular video viewing website for many years. With most leading singers and production houses having their official YouTube channels, the platform makes for great global viewership. YouTube has been coming up with several technical upgrades over the years. Yet again, they have successfully added another feather to their versatile cap.

YouTube 4K Live Streaming-

The website will now allow streaming of "incredibly high resolution" videos and viewers will now get the option of watching an extremely clear picture. This is also possible if they are viewing a live stream from a 4K- enabled device. The support for high definition 4K video in live streams was launched on November 30. The live streaming supports both 360 degree and standard video. The videos will be broadcasted at the rate of 60 frames per second.

What Is 4K Video?

A video can be of different qualities. 4k is a measurement of resolution. It is also known as Ultra HD with a resolution of 4096 x 2160 pixels. For perspective, that is around 4 times the pixels in your average full HD TV. YouTube believes that this format will let creators live stream high resolution videos. The viewers will be able to enjoy a very clear picture from a live feed supported by a 4k supported device.

"Live streams look better, show a more detailed, crisper picture, and aren't as blurry when there's fast action on screen", stated YouTube on their blog.

The YouTube viewers were able to enjoy the technology on December 1st during the Game Awards. The entire segment was streamed live in 4k resolution! YouTube had only recently added 4K HDR support.
