Tech enthusiasts are quite excited about the upcoming 2017 Apple iPhone 8 model. If recent reports are to be believed, the Cupertino has already started testing 10 of the prototype iPhone 8 handsets. If that is true, then we may expect the smartphone launch to happen sometime in the second quarter of the next year.

The 2017 Apple iPhone 8 has earlier been reported to have a curved OLED screen as well as a wireless charging option. Now, there are rumors that the upcoming smartphone may be the cheapest iPhone so far. Here's everything we know about the next-gen iPhone so far:

2017 Apple iPhone 8: Wireless Charging & Other Features

Reports are that the upcoming smartphone will come with a major redesign. While there are many Android smartphones that are currently using the Wireless Charging upgrade, the feature is totally new in the iPhone line up. The iPhone 7 successor is expected to feature a glass chassis so as to prevent interference while charging through the wireless charging panel. The 2017 Apple iPhone 8 is also rumored to come with a new radical screen design.

This year the tech giant got rid of the 3.5 mm headphone jack in the latest iPhone iteration. It is expected that Apple may get rid of the home button in the upcoming 2017 iPhone 8. The new smartphone is expected to feature a curved OLED display, which will be bezel-less as the home button will probably be integrated into the screen itself.

2017 iPhone 8: Cheapest Apple iPhone So Far?

The next generation smartphone has been reported to hit the market in three models. The first one being an OLED model, whereas the remaining two will feature 4.7" and 5.5" LED screen. Although wireless charging and a glass chassis will be featured in all the above smartphones, the LED model might make the iPhone 8 the cheapest one so far.

Although not much has been revealed about the wireless charging so far, Apple may improve the technology well further by the end of next year. It may also be possible that in the coming time you wouldn't even have to place your iPhone on a charging pad to get it charged.

2017 iPhone 8: Apple Testing Prototype Models?

Recent reports reveal that Apple is working on 10 different prototype models of the 2017 iPhone 8. The manufacturer has also asked its suppliers to increase their OLED screen output. The suppliers have been specifically instructed to come up with a better resolution screen as that compared to the one featured in Samsung smartphones.

Whether the 2017 Apple iPhone 8 will be able to beat iPhone 6 sales records or not, only time will tell. However, what we know is that the suppliers are planning to manufacture 120-150 million iPhone units for the upcoming year. Stay tuned to SWR for more news and updates on 2017 Apple iPhone 8.
