Rockstar Games and its parent company Take-Two Interactive are occupied with the release of "Red Dead Redemption 2" and providing updates for "GTA 5." Although neither has provided any concrete details, rumors are abuzz about a possible "GTA 6" release date and other aspects such as story, maps, and gameplay. The latest GTA 6 rumor suggests that the next installment will feature a Virtual gameplay. The new GTA is speculated to release the game after Sony and Microsoft launch their next-generation gaming consoles. Rockstar will introduce VR content, but to what extent is not yet clear.

Maps are essential factors of GTA series. In "GTA 6," Rockstar is expected to explore foreign cities such as Tokyo and London. The developers stated in an interview that new foreign countries were being explored for maps in "GTA 6." Until not only US has been explored in GTA. The new setting in other cities will let fans explore GTA in a new manner, as reported by Neurogadget.

"GTA 6" rumors suggest that a new female protagonist will be introduced in the next edition. "GTA 5" and all previous versions have lacked a strong female protagonist and Rockstar may change that in the sixth installment. Hollywood star Eva Mendes will give her voice to the new character.
